Tata Nexon EV real-world range revealed!
Tata Motors introduced its debut electric SUV, the Nexon EV, in 2020, marking a significant milestone in the electric vehicle market. Since its launch, this eco-friendly offering has dominated its segment as the best-selling car. To keep pace with evolving technology and features, the automaker underwent a comprehensive overhaul, unveiling the facelifted version in September 2023. While the claimed driving range is widely known, this article delves into the real-world performance of the electric SUV during daily commutes, shedding light on its actual driving range.
During our assessment, we tested the top-tier Empowered Plus Long Range variant, equipped with a plethora of features. After a full charge, we embarked on a journey along our predetermined route, encompassing both urban streets and highways, until the battery was fully depleted. Impressively, the Nexon EV traveled a commendable distance of 296 kilometers before coming to a stop.
Tata currently offers the Nexon EV in five different variants: Creative, Fearless, Fearless Plus, Empowered, and Empowered Plus, available with two battery options – 30kWh and 40.5kWh. The price range for this model starts at Rs. 14.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and extends up to Rs. 19.29 lakh (ex-showroom).
