Tata Motors has recently introduced the AMT variant of the Tiago and Tigor CNG models in India, marking the first time automatic transmission is paired with a factory-fitted CNG kit in the country.
Following suit, the Altroz and Punch now also feature the same CNG powertrain coupled with a manual gearbox, like the Tiago and Tigor. It’s anticipated that Tata Motors will soon offer the AMT unit with the Altroz and Punch CNG variants as well.
These models are powered by a 1.2-liter NA petrol engine, equipped with the brand’s proprietary twin-cylinder CNG technology, and are available with both manual and AMT transmissions.
