Toyota resumes dispatches of Fortuner, Innova Crysta, and Hilux
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has resumed dispatches of the Innova Crysta, Fortuner, and the Hilux after a temporary halt. The company paused dispatches on 8 September for certain diesel-powered models due to irregularities detected in certification tests.
Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO), the international arm affiliated with Toyota Motor Corporation, identified irregularities in horsepower output certification tests for three diesel engine models. TKM has now confirmed that these engines comply with Indian regulations.
Despite the temporary suspension of dispatches, Toyota continued to accept bookings for the affected models. Additionally, the brand has announced a price increase of up to Rs. 15,000 for select models like the Rumion and the Glanza, effective immediately.
