Toyota Rumion waiting period increases to up to 32 weeks in March 2024

Toyota introduced the Rumion, a rebadged version of the Maruti Ertiga, to the Indian market in August 2023. Since its launch, this model has garnered significant popularity among MPV enthusiasts, leading to a notable waiting period for potential buyers.

Available in three variants – S, G, and V – Toyota offers the Rumion with both petrol and CNG powertrains. Currently, customers eyeing the petrol variants of the Rumion are faced with a waiting period of 28-32 weeks from the booking date. However, those considering the CNG variants may need to reconsider their choice as bookings for these models have been temporarily suspended by the manufacturer.

Under the hood, the Rumion is exclusively equipped with a 1.5-litre petrol engine. This engine delivers 103bhp/136Nm in petrol mode and 87bhp/121Nm in CNG mode. While a five-speed manual transmission is standard, the petrol variant also offers the option of a six-speed torque converter unit.

With prices ranging from Rs. 10.44 lakh to Rs. 13.73 lakh (ex-showroom), the Rumion competes directly with vehicles like the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the Kia Carens in the MPV segment.
