Yamaha YZF-R15, Yamaha’s entry-level sports bike is available in the market, priced at around INR 1.5 lakhs. Here are all the necessary things one must know about it before spending on this bike
Design and build
Most of the details of Yamaha YZF-R15 look quite similar to that of Yamaha’s own YZF-R1 and R6, instead, it can be said as a smaller version of these bikes. Fans, as well as critics, say that it is the best looking YZF-R15 to date. The LED headlamps on the side of faux air duct give more wild look than ever.
Engine and performance
Along with design, the engine of the V3 R15 is also considered to be the best of all the previous entries. The 155 cc engine can produce 19.3 PS @ 10,000 rpm and 15 Nm @ 8,500 rpm. With two intake valve CAMs the boost I the low end offers enough force to touch the redline. The light and slip-assist clutch make the bike a good choice for a city ride too. While on the road the engine gives satisfying power in a crisp style
The bike can reach 100 kmph mark in 8.63 sec which is amazingly good for 155 cc bike. The mileage of the bike is fantastic 48.1 kmpl in city and 50.4 kmpl on highway roads.

The real rider will tell you that the YZF-R15 is made to ride on twisty roads due to its sharper steering amazing build. The bike is quick responsive and distinctly precise when turning into a corner. Also for a city ride, the bike is preferable because it absorbs almost every shock and jumps thanks to the 41 mm forks at the front and link type monoshock at the rear. The interesting thing to note that the bike lacks the presence of ABS but still you will not miss its absence while riding it. The 282 mm front brakes provide enough braking power to stop the bike from 80 kmph in just around 3.2 seconds.
Priced at around INR 1.5 lakhs and it is also worthy enough to buy at this price tag.
